Iced Tea Month!

Iced Tea is much easier to make than you might think, here are some simple recipes! You may ice any type of loose tea, but check out these fruity blends that make especially delicious iced teas.

Generally, there are two simple ways to make an iced tea.

Instant

For “instant” iced tea, you want to make a “tea concentrate” and pour it over a cup full of ice. You can make a “concentrate” by simply using double the amount of loose tea than usual. We suggest that you try using 10g of tea for 10oz of water, steep until ready, then pour over ice!

Our rapidTEA Loose Tea Maker is ideal for effortless iced tea.

Cold Steeping

You can also experiment with cold-steeping your favorite teas. Simply add your tea to the infuser and instead of using boiled water, use cool (or room temperature) water and set in the refrigerator for one hour. Add ice to your cup and pour the cold steeped tea over it to enjoy!

Our Glass Jug Tea Maker is excellent for cold steeping!

Tea Cocktails are so much fun. You can easily use our fresh organic peppermint or spearmint to make an iced tea mojito. Hibiscus based fruit tea blends make wonderful sangria bases. Prepare a concentrate of iced tea and replace the juice from your favorite sangria recipe with the tea concentrate.
