Finest Anji White – Rare "Liquid Silk" Umami Green Tea from Zhejiang

Our Finest Anji White tea is grown in the misty mountains of Anji County in China's eastern coastal Zhejiang Province. This fine tea cultivar has a very short harvest season, making the tea especially unique and rare. It's seldom sold or enjoyed outside of China, and it's an exceptional tea we're proud to offer!

The long, slender, delicate leaves are green with pale yellow tones and a highly fragrant aroma. Interestingly, given how it's made, Anji White is in fact a green tea despite its name — the "white" refers to its delicate, tippy appearance and the pale leaves of the rare cultivar.

Tasting Notes

  • Dry leaf: long, slender green-and-pale-yellow leaves
  • Liquor: light green
  • Aroma: highly fragrant
  • Flavor: delicious and umami-rich
  • Mouthfeel: silky smooth, known as "liquid silk"

Why You'll Love It

From the very first sip, you'll understand why this tea is called "liquid silk." Its incredibly smooth texture and savory umami richness make it a favorite among green tea connoisseurs, and its rarity makes every cup feel special.

  • Rare Anji cultivar from Zhejiang
  • Short harvest season
  • Umami-rich flavor
  • Silky "liquid silk" mouthfeel

How to Enjoy

Brew it in a clear glass to watch the slender leaves dance, and enjoy several infusions. Savor it plain alongside light dishes, seafood or steamed vegetables. It also makes a wonderful gift for green tea lovers.

Silky, fragrant and truly rare, Finest Anji White is a green tea treasure from the misty mountains of Zhejiang.

I never was a fan of white teas but this one is great. Light on its feet and just oozes pedigree and exclusiveness like a fine wine. I liked three grams at 3 mins. in a 6 oz. cup and it took every degree of that 190 degrees which always seems high for a green tea. I wish Tealyra would use gram measurements instead of spoon fulls. Every fine tea drinker should have a gram scale...........-d-

[FR] Un thé d’un goût unique. Doux au palais, je l’infuse assez longtemps afin qu’il dégage ses arômes. Complémentèrent différent des autres thés blancs. Retenez qu’il s’agit d’un thé vert. Un délice!

Delicious, smooth "light" green tea with no bitter aftertaste. Lovely umami flavour.

Amazing tea!!! Beautiful light amber color. The whole leaves are rolled like ancient pergament scrolls. The smell is extremely exquisite.
