Description

Fu Shou Shan High Mountain – "The President's Tea" Taiwanese Oolong

Fu Shou Shan High Mountain oolong is grown on one of the highest peaks in Taiwan's Li Shan mountain range, at elevations exceeding even Li Shan itself. Known as "The President's Tea, " this lightly oxidized oolong is one of Taiwan's most prestigious high-mountain teas.

Fu Shou Shan's tea gardens are frequently shrouded in clouds and heavy fog, creating a cool, damp environment. The high elevation brings significantly cooler temperatures, so the tea plants mature slowly — producing leaves that are full-bodied and deep in flavor, with natural sweetness and remarkable aromatic intensity.

Tasting Notes

  • Liquor: clear, pale golden

This is a very high-quality high mountain oolong. In addition to the standard qualities of this type, it features distinct pear notes, similar to other oolongs from Li Shan. While not the cheapest option, it is excellent overall.
