Superior Miyazaki Hojicha ist ein ausgezeichneter japanischer Tee aus Gokase Town in Miyazaki. Es besteht aus einer Auswahl von Ichibancha First Flush Stengeln und Blättern, die mit der traditionellen Pfanne befeuerten Methode leicht angeröstet werden, um einen Hojicha von außergewöhnlich guter Qualität mit hervorragenden Aroma und dem sanftesten, süßen gerösteten Nektar zu erreichen!

Die feinen Aromen dieses Luxus-Hojicha kommen aus der Kombination des Pfannentrocknens und dem rösten der Blätter. Diese Kombination erzeugt ein Aroma, welches sich stark von den gedämpften Teeblättern unterscheidet, die zu einem Hojicha geröstet werden; und für uns entsteht so eine herrliche superior Tasse. Superior Miyazaki Hojicha ist ein erfrischender, anregender und ein wenig blumiger Tee, ohne übermäßige Rauchigkeit oder Röstaroma.

Am Gaumen ist dieser Tee eine komplette puristische Freude, er ist so weich, wie Sie es sich nur vorstellen können, und bietet ein Bouquet von wunderbar stimulierenden, sanft gerösteten Aromen mit einem Hauch von Grün in der Mischung!

[EN] While I am more of a green tea guy, I am really enjoying this roasty and nutty Hojicha. Somehow I can see this being a great fit for the winter, and offering a change from my typical green or oolong tea.

[EN] This tea has a lovely toasty, grassy, nutty character with only a little astringency. Perfect for unwinding after dinner. It will definitely become one of my go-to types of tea for relaxing in the evening.

[EN] One of my daily, regular teas and not too fussy to brew. I use 1 heaping TBSP for about 10oz water and steep about 2 minutes. (Note: for me, a steep over 3:30 minutes starts to get astringent. Thee tea is almost better in the second and third infusions.

This tea is truly unique as a green tea but very pleasant. The taste and aroma are hard to describe accurately but you-know-you-like-it-when-you-taste-it. The taste has hints of nice green tea but the toasting adds an additional complexity--not smoky but a richer flavor as in grilling vegetables. There is just something there that is unique and pleasant. Note, this is NOT the toasted-rice flavor of Imperial Gyokuro Genmaicha and nothing like Genmaicha.
Nice tea for afternoons or late morning. Nice transition from a morning coffee.

[EN] Very tasty. Smells like roasted hay, tastes much better. Lovely roasted notes, faint smokiness, rich and nutty with a slight savoriness that reminds me of roasted seaweed. Highly recommended.

[EN] When I first opened a packet of this tea I was surprised by the pale colour. I've had many different types of roasted green tea and this one is by far the lightest in colour. However... the taste is better than any other Hojicha by a mile. This one is rich and nutty, and the colour of the tea is good too, golden even on the third brew. If you can get organic Hojicha as good as this why would you buy anything else?

[EN] Lovely roasted flavour with notes of honey and a subtle nuttiness, and hay. More than I expected out of this tea, its delicious, and beautifully low in caffiene which allows me to enjoy it further into the night than I usually drink tea.

[EN] A great choice for an afternoon or evening pot - low caffeine level combined with lovely sweet, nutty, maple syrup flavours. Makes a very good iced tea in summer, and again as the caffeine level is low you can slug it all afternoon with impunity.

[EN] Wonderful and strong tasting roasted kuki hojicha (meaning "stems"), floral, fragrant, and delicious. I highly recommend this beautiful tea!

[EN] Very interesting tea. The smell.. isn't the best, but it tastes pretty good. It's smokey with a strong toasty/nutty flavour. I think I prefer regular green teas but Hojicha is fine too.

The first infusion is gold-amber and subsequent infusions are more of a deep/reddish-amber; The intense aroma and taste mellow out in subsequent infusions, I personally like these infusions better than the first.

This Hojicha is also extremely light, you will find that you get a very large volume of tea in 50g. My 50g pack was about enough to fill a 2C mason jar, making this tea very budget friendly.

[EN] Let's say... TOO delicate. The flavor is much to faint even when using more tea leaves than directed.
