[EN] Brewing this with short highly concentrated steeps gong fu style has immense shock factor. The flavour is so much better than long western steeps. This is because there is a higher concentration of the sweeter compounds that are released in the first few seconds of a steep.
This company gladly refunded my stale batch, and I will definitely be buying from them again.
Fujian Mao Feng is my favourite tea ever. It tastes like cream soda, or vanilla and chocolate ice-cream. If you brew it just right, it hits you like hot Coco, without any bitterness, with that same sweet warmth in the throat on the exhale.
[EN] I always thought I didn't like green tea, but this is really good and I will definitely get it again. It has a kind of sweet flavor even though there is no sugar in it. It reminds me of tea I might have in a restaurant

[EN] Tastes as described. Nice mellow and smooth. Buttery vegetal is spot on but the taste is much more appealing than that sounds. I had to use a lot more than i would from other teas to bring out the flavour. Must be a problem with the full leaf tea like this one.
[EN] Just received this blend along with others. Very smooth taste, not bitter, and actually a creamy taste when you sweeten slightly. Not that it needs it, but wanted to see how honey paired with this. Rich smell in package and it lingers while wet. Perfect for gongfu brewing
[EN] This is a delightful, everyday tea at an affordable price. I like to brew mine strong and this tea stands up to that without becoming bitter or harsh. Lovely smooth and mellow taste - it's a keeper!
[EN] An amazing tea that has become a part of my everyday life. Quite a subtle taste but it lingers beautifully on the roof of your mouth. Slightly sweet, quite buttery and very tasty.
I use a pinch and brew at about 75c for around 2 minutes.

[EN] First steeping: 2 minutes at 175 degrees.
This Mao Feng is delightfully mellow with a buttery and delicate vegetal taste. I detect undertones of chestnut at the end of the sip, and as the cup cools there are notes of creamy water chestnut.
Second steeping: 3 minutes at 175 degrees.
The second steeping has deleveloped a lovely creaminess and has taken on more of a water chestnut undertone. There is a very slight vegetal tang at the end of the sip.
