Exclusivo de Tealyra en Norteamérica, este raro Tencha Mimoto se produce de forma orgánica en la ciudad histórica de Kyoto, Japón. Esta es una increíble, delicada y profunda belleza esmeralda. Tencha Mimoto es matcha antes de reducirse a polvo. Al procesar el té verde tencha, las hojas se dejan a la sombra durante 2-3 semanas antes de la cosecha, luego se cuecen al vapor y se secan sin enrollar, algo diferente a la mayoría de los tés verdes japoneses tradicionales. Este té es muy nutritivo, rico en teanina, produciendo una infusión oscura y rica. Tencha Mimoto no tiene el sabor "verde" astringente a hierba habitual, sino un sabor dulce y rico. No ofensivo y neutral, aunque no es débil de ninguna manera, ¡es un té verde para convencer incluso a los oponentes del té verde de sus maravillas!

Preparación:

Utilice 1-1,5 cucharadas o 1 bolsa de té por cada 8oz/200ml de agua. Calentar el agua a 175F/80°C y dejar reposar durante 1.5-2 min.

[EN] Mellow and easy to drink. I love this tea because the flavor profile isn’t too strong. You get light vegetal notes at the end with no bitter after taste. (Steeped 175F 2mins). I like to wake and bake and drink this tea. It has me feeling energized, motivated, yet relaxed all at once. Will be a repurchasing.

[EN] My other new favorite umami green tea. Tastes remarkably similar to the Kukicha Kabuse green tea, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the 2. It's a good evening tea. No gross grass flavor.

[EN] Better than I expected, from the first sip I knew I'm gonna be hooked on this tea , I'm not so sure about aroma but love the taste which is very sweet, smooth, velvety not so nutty, little leafy and unique aftertaste of light honey, perfectly ripe avocado or unripe walnuts

[EN] This tea does not have too much initial fragrance or fresh appearance but once it is brewing the unique leaves turn bright green and the water becomes extremely vibrant. Slight to no bitterness when brewed right this tea is a must try for green tea lovers.

[EN] Expensive, yet I wasn't impressed by it at all. Even the product info says that this is basically a byproduct of matcha manufacturing process. Compared to other Japanese tea, it needs to be infused longer. It doesn't taste like matcha, it doesn't taste like sencha, it tastes like - a byproduct.

I'm giving it 3 stars, but it's more like 2.5. You might like it, but for this price, you can buy teas which are miles better.

[EN] I don't consider myself as an expert but I know what I like.
This is not my cup of tea (hah).

It's really "light" and pretty much tasteless.
it's not bitter though (it's kind of sweet).

I tried to experiment with brewing times etc but that didn't change much (2nd steep is a bit better).

I'm going to try Yame Gyokuro Grade 1 next...
