Exclusivité de Tealyra Amérique du Nord, ce rare Tencha Mimoto est cultivé ment dans la ville historique de Kyoto, au Japon. Cette incroyable beauté d'émeraude offre une intensité et qualité exceptionnelles. Le Tencha Mimoto est du thé matcha sous forme non pulvérulente. Pour l'élaboration du thé vert tencha, les feuilles sont protégées du soleil pendant 2-3 semaines avant la récolte, puis cuites à la vapeur et séchées sans les rouler, contrairement aux thés verts japonais les plus traditionnels. Ce thé très nutritif et riche en théanine libère une infusion intense et riche. Le Tencha Mimoto n'a pas la saveur « verte », herbeuse et astringente habituelle, mais une saveur intensément sucrée et riche. Non envahissant et neutre malgré sa force, il s'agit d'un thé vert idéal pour convaincre les plus réticents des merveilles du thé vert !

[EN] Mellow and easy to drink. I love this tea because the flavor profile isn’t too strong. You get light vegetal notes at the end with no bitter after taste. (Steeped 175F 2mins). I like to wake and bake and drink this tea. It has me feeling energized, motivated, yet relaxed all at once. Will be a repurchasing.

[EN] My other new favorite umami green tea. Tastes remarkably similar to the Kukicha Kabuse green tea, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the 2. It's a good evening tea. No gross grass flavor.

[EN] Better than I expected, from the first sip I knew I'm gonna be hooked on this tea , I'm not so sure about aroma but love the taste which is very sweet, smooth, velvety not so nutty, little leafy and unique aftertaste of light honey, perfectly ripe avocado or unripe walnuts

[EN] This tea does not have too much initial fragrance or fresh appearance but once it is brewing the unique leaves turn bright green and the water becomes extremely vibrant. Slight to no bitterness when brewed right this tea is a must try for green tea lovers.

[EN] Expensive, yet I wasn't impressed by it at all. Even the product info says that this is basically a byproduct of matcha manufacturing process. Compared to other Japanese tea, it needs to be infused longer. It doesn't taste like matcha, it doesn't taste like sencha, it tastes like - a byproduct.

I'm giving it 3 stars, but it's more like 2.5. You might like it, but for this price, you can buy teas which are miles better.

[EN] I don't consider myself as an expert but I know what I like.
This is not my cup of tea (hah).

It's really "light" and pretty much tasteless.
it's not bitter though (it's kind of sweet).

I tried to experiment with brewing times etc but that didn't change much (2nd steep is a bit better).

I'm going to try Yame Gyokuro Grade 1 next...
