Blooming tea, or flowering tea, is hand-tied balls of tea leaves and flowers that slowly open in hot water, like a flower coming to life. Brew one in a clear glass teapot, watch it bloom and enjoy a delicate, floral cup two or three times over.

About blooming tea
Blooming tea, also called flowering tea, is made by hand: tea leaves, usually green or white tea, are tied around dried flowers such as jasmine, lily, globe amaranth or marigold into a small ball. In hot water the ball slowly opens into a flower. Use one ball for a 12–16 oz glass teapot or tall glass, pour water at about 185°F (85°C) and watch it bloom for 3–5 minutes. Each ball can be steeped two or three times.
Jasmine Lily Tower ties jasmine-scented green tea with jasmine and lily flowers. Fruity choices include Strawberry Sweet Heart, Mango in Love, Honey Peach Blossom and Pineapple Double Happiness.

Blooming tea FAQ
How do I brew a blooming tea?
Place one tea ball in a clear glass teapot or tall heat-safe glass. Pour in freshly boiled water and watch it open. Let it steep 5 to 8 minutes, then pour and enjoy.
How many cups can I get from one tea ball?
Each tea ball can be infused at least three times within about 12 hours. Leave it in the pot and top up with hot water for the next round.
What is inside a blooming tea?
Each one is made from green or black tea leaves hand-tied around flowers such as jasmine, lily, marigold or globe amaranth. Flavored versions, like Eye Of Dragon (Vanilla Flavor), add a sweet note.
Do I need a glass teapot?
No, any teapot works. But a clear glass teapot or glass lets you see the flower open, which is half the fun.
