Description

Our bold and distinct 99% Oxidized Purple Oolong is a wonderful tea tasting experience! The tea was grown in Indonesia, and is a rare treat from this region. The highly oxidized tea produces solid flavors of cinnamon, coffee, musk and amber, with undertones of rich earthiness; rare to find in a good tea! While the leaves are a deep purple, the brew produced is a caramel liquid that is thick and rich. This particular oolong is perfect for multiple infusions, because as is the case with any good tea, the flavors develop and become more complex with each steeping. While it is a strong oolong, much bolder than less oxidized tea, true enthusiasts will enjoy the complex flavors provided in multiple steeps!

This has been my go to oxidised oolong - the depth and length of flavour vs price was unbeatable. However flavour changed to overly-tangy and unbalanced when I reordered. I hope this is temporary but I'm uneasy about buying it again so have to knock off one star

Not bad at all. I find it a bit musky for my taste but I can tell it's very good quali-tea.

I have been trying some new oolong teas lately, and today I hit the jackpot. I used two tsp of tea leaves with about 8 oz of water. Brewing the same tea over and over I got 7 cups of wonderful, flavorful tea. It's very good with a meal, as well as alone, because it has enough flavor to hold it own. I think I found a new favorite!

I thought I would give this tea a try on my latest order, happy I did. I normally drink Oolongs that have very little oxidization, but this is a great change of pace. Has a rich complex taste, almost like a lighter version of a pu-eh but not as earthy.
