Gaba Oolong es un té Oolong de alta montaña, cosechado a una altitud aproximada de 1600 metros. Una vez calentada, el aroma de la hoja incluye notas de manzana verde y frutas maduras muy fragantes. El licor es de un color verde claro, casi dorado. Se sabe que las plantas de té producen hojas especialmente ricas en ácido glutámico. Aproximadamente dos semanas antes de recogerlas, las hojas de GABA oolong están parcialmente sombreadas, lo que provoca una mayor producción de esta sustancia. Durante la fase de oxidación de la producción, todo el oxígeno se reemplaza con nitrógeno gaseoso, cuya presencia hace que el ácido glutámico se convierta en ácido gamma-aminobutírico (GABA), conocido por su efecto calmante sobre el sistema nervioso.

Un pequeño consejo de infusiónLas hojas de oolong se abren despacio: infusiónalas dos o tres veces, alargando un poco el tiempo en cada ronda, y disfruta de cómo cambia el sabor.

Preparación:

Utilice 1-1,5 cucharadas o 1 bolsa de té por cada 8oz/200ml de agua. Calentar el agua a 195F/90°C y dejar reposar durante 2-3 min.

[EN] What a great taste ! I stepped my leaves 4 times. The last one to 5-6 minutes 90-95C. Two cups am and two cups pm.

[EN] Very delicious, strong but not overwhelming GABA flavor. I was purchasing my organic GABA Ooolong from another company, was very pleased with it, but they stopped shipping to US. I started trying other sources, and this GABA oolong from Tealyra is the best of all that I tried. What I find with with the good GABA oolongs is that they have an additional deeper flavor, maybe it's from the additional processing that creates the GABA that also creates the more intense flavor. This version also has much more flavor than Tealyra's other GABA oolong, the GABA Oolong #5. I would recommend this version to anyone, beginner and experienced, because you really can taste the difference GABA makes.

[EN] Definitely will purchase this again. Very unique tasting tea. I’m not good at articulating taste but definitely honey/biscuit taste with floral vibe to it. It definitely got me a bit “tea drunk” after drinking an 8oz cup. Try this if your into oolongs!!

[EN] OMG wow, love this tea. Totally unique flavor profile unlike any other oolong tea I've tried. As noted by the other reviews, if you are intrigued (and love) banana notes you will love this tea. If not, maybe try something else. Totally clean, crisp, refreshing, flowery (banana) taste. LOVE IT.

[EN] Lovely tea, very special. Slightly milder than the #5 one, but the leaves are whole and unfurl wholly. And it's organic, so hence more expensive. Temperature best about 85 degC, about 6g per 200 ml water, more for a stronger taste.

[EN] Absolutely exquisite! Great GABA, a bit pricey but worth ever penny and then some. Juts like the description, but I’d even say even more complex and delicious. Ripe fruits, chestnut honey sweetness, roasted sweet potato, cinammon, white pepper, mountain top after rain. Medium texture, super refreshing, quenching and salivating. Holds up for at least 9 steeps when brewed gongfu(6g per 100ml at 195F). Sublime, relaxing and creative Cha Qi. Literally EVERYTHING you want out a tea. A must try. A great tea to set the bar for what a tea session should be like. Thank you, Tealyra! ????

[EN] Yaba-GABA-doo! Hopefully the producer can maintain the medium GABA Oolong hit of this but tea is a natural process and sometimes doesn't like to come out and play (hello wine/whisky!). Well-done organic and the brewed leaves unfurl in to some beautiful nature-made art, if you're in to judging that kind of thing with your tea (you should, IMO!). Will next try it cold brew style and see what happens; not expecting anything bad, going off results off the traditional method.

[EN] I did enjoy this GABA, very heavy dried fruit/raisin/ripe banana notes that lasts for many infusions. Seems a bit less complex than others I've tried but still an enjoyable tea that I could drink daily.

[EN] Nice rich amber brew. I noted medium-oxidized tea notes, hints of sweet spice and ripe banana in the first steep. Subsequent steeps mellowed into a warm, comforting blanket on a cold snowy day. I love to drink this tea before reading a good book. I can get lost in the story and feel the GABA, Theanine, and caffeine working synergistically to make for a lovely wind-down.

[EN] Probably the notable thing with this tea, flavor-wise is a very strong ripe banana note. This is also what I've experienced with other gaba teas. Some people will love this, but others (like myself) might now.

[EN] I am an Oolong lover, but this tea is very "green", and I don't care for that flavor. I did not taste any of the ripe fruit either. It left an aftertaste in my mouth I couldn't get rid of for hours, that was like an over boiled green leafy vegetable. I couldn't wait to get back to my wonderful milk Oolong.
