Description
Chou Shi Dan Cong – Fragrant Gardenia Phoenix OolongOur delightful Chou Shi Dan Cong comes from Chaoshan in China's Guangdong Province, a region famous for Dan Cong (Phoenix) oolongs. In Chaoshan, tea is served strong, fragrant and always gongfu-style! This Chou Shi Dan Cong is a special new style of oolong — very green, very fragrant and full of flavor. "Chou Shi" means "dehydrate, " referring to its unique production method, which is similar to that of fragrant Anxi Tie Guan Yin. The leaves are picked by hand and, before any wilting, rolled briefly by hand and placed in a special dehydrator to stop the wilting process. This preserves the vibrancy of the large, twisted, incredibly aromatic bright green leaves. Tasting Notes
