Description
Gaba Oolong #5 – Calming Taiwanese High-Mountain GABA OolongGaba Oolong #5 is a high-mountain Taiwanese tea crafted with a special oxygen-free oxidation process developed and perfected in Japan to increase its natural GABA content. GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) is a compound known for its calming effect on the nervous system. Tea leaves are naturally rich in glutamic acid. Japanese tea specialists discovered that shading the tea plants for about two weeks before harvest increases this amino acid in the leaf. During processing, oxygen is replaced with nitrogen, converting glutamic acid into GABA. This specialty technique is what makes our Taiwanese Gaba Oolong #5 so special. Tasting Notes
